One of St. George’s finest restaurants, The Painted Pony strives to make its meals with the freshest ingredients it can find. Taking advantage of as much locally grown produce as possible, the restaurant uses fresh, organic vegetables. St. George’s mild climate allows the eatery to use local produce almost the entire year. The restaurant maintains an herb garden and its staff picks the watercress it uses. To enhance flavor, the restaurant only serves vegetables when they are in season.
The Painted Pony features one of the most distinct restaurant menus in the St. George area. The restaurant specializes in contemporary American cuisine, steaks, and seafood, including one of its most popular delicacies, line-caught, sesame crusted escolar. Our delectable appetizers include pan seared crab cakes, coconut shrimp, Sicilian style calamari, and phyllo baked brie. Butternut squash ravioli, wild salmon rolls and bacon wrapped duck are some of our one-of-a-kind entrees.
The restaurant lies in Ancestor Square at the corner of St. George Boulevard and Main Street. One of St. George’s most appealing shopping centers, Ancestor Square features a unique collection of galleries, shops and restaurants. A Koi pond, the Old Jail House, a small stream, and a shaded plaza all add to its unique charm. One of St. George’s most beloved historic buildings, the Brigham Young Winter Home, is less than a block away.
